How to service and repair the oil pan on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

Drain out the engine oil to service and repair the Oil Pan. Afterward, pull off the transaxle assembly and exhaust crossover pipe. Then pull off the Oil Pan bolts ensuring that the Oil Pan Gasket is reusable in case of non-damage unless you need to take it out from Oil Pan groove. Go ahead and remove Oil Pan and service the Oil Pan. If a new Oil Pan seal is needed, remove any oil left in the groove of the seal and use the metal bearing to press the seal into the groove of the pan going back and forth. Place the Oil Pan to the crankcase and tighten the Oil Pan retainer bolts to 10 nm (89 inch lbs) in the mentioned order. Take off the exhaust crossover and the transaxle assembly, and replace it, refilling the engine oil.
