Vehicle elevation and support are necessary in order to replace the p/s pressure hose. First disconnect the pressure hose from the power steering gear. Afterward remove the mounting hold down brackets which connect the frame to the head. The technician should start by taking off the pressure line at the Power Steering Pump and then remove the pressure hose from the vehicle. Installation of the pressure hose requires placement according to the instructions provided in fastener notice in service precautions. Install the pressure hose onto the pump before tightening its nut to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Fasten the mounting hold down bracket together with its nut onto the head before you tighten the hold down bracket nut at 9 nm (8 inch lbs.). Apply the mounting hold down brackets to the frame while positioning the pressure hose towards the power steering gear and fasten the pressure hose nut to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Bleeding should be completed on the power steering system.
