  A: Raising the vehicle enables access to the right front wheel well/splash shield's front retaining screws for subsequent removal of this shield in order to reach the bank 1 air pump assembly. Working counterclockwise on the air exhaust hose pinch clamp enables removal of the exhaust hose from the pump before gently removing the inlet hose/filter assembly from the air pump. The air pump electrical connector requires disconnection before the lower air to cradle bracket nuts become loose and the upper air pump to cradle bolt can be removed. The air pump can be extracted from the cradle bracket by lifting upward and pulling out. After installing the lower air pump nuts to the cradle bracket wear down before you install the upper air pump cradle bolt which needs a tightening torque of 9 n.m (80 lb in). The installation process requires a rubber o-ring position at the bottom of the air pump followed by a click detection to indicate proper airflow through the inlet hose/filter before completing the assembly work. Fitting the air pump exhaust hose to the device while using a hose clamp releases the electrical connection of the pump followed by positioning the wheel well/splash shield then reinstalling the retaining screws before lowering the vehicle.
