Service procedures for the bank 1 air injection control valve begin with unfastening the rear air exhaust hose nuts from the check valve then removing the hose from the valve and disconnecting vacuum hoses. First disconnect the air check valve from the exhaust manifold pipe through nut removal before extracting the rear air check valve from position. To reinstall the valve position the rear air check valve onto the bracket assembly then tighten the nuts before securing the upper air pump to cradle bolt at 9 n.m (80 lb. In.). Secure the air vacuum hoses by attaching the air exhaust hose to the air check valve bracket followed by tight installation of the retaining nuts on the air exhaust hose and re-torquing the upper air pump to cradle bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb. In.).
