The first step to replace the bank 2 secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve requires removal of the air cleaner assembly and vacuum lines detachment. Break the pinch clamp which links bank 2 intermediate pipe/hose to the bank 2 shut-off valve before removing the hose from the valve. Release the two bracket-mounting nuts from the bank 2 air shut-off before extraction of the valve from its bracket. Before installing the bank 2 air shut-off valve alongside its gasket onto the bank 2 outlet pipe make sure to follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the bank 2 shut-off valve to its bracket by tightening three nuts and two nuts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). One should begin by installing the air cleaner assembly followed by reconnecting vacuum lines. The next step includes reatting the bank 2 intermediate pipe/hose and clamp to the shut-off valve and finally reinstalling the air cleaner assembly.
