  • Q: How to replace the rear wheel bearing and wheel hub (FE7) on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?
    A: Use a lift to support the vehicle and remove its wheel with tire before replacing its rear wheel bearing and hub fe7 part. To begin, unmount the brake caliper with its two bolts and hang it aside from the rotor before taking out the brake rotor. Unplug the ABS Sensor wire connector then take out the harness. Disconnect the Parking Brake Cable from the Control Arm. Separate the ABS Sensor from its hookup before you detach the four bearing retainer bolts and the reluctor. Unbolt the hub and bearing and also remove the wheel bearing if needed. Next detach the brake shield and wheel bearing. Position the wheel bearing inside the hub and put on the washer and bearing nut. Tighten the wheel bearing assembly nut to 147 foot-pounds torque. Insert a new hub and bearing into the Control Arm bore then fasten four bolts to 118 nm. Replace both the reluctor disc and ABS Sensor components before putting back the brake rotor and caliper. Once done connect the ABS Sensor wire then put on the wheel and tire while tightening wheel nuts to 125 nm (80 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle afterward.
