The service on the headlamp Dimmer Switch begins with Steering Column removal and electrical connector detachment from the Dimmer Switch. The first installation step requires removing the Dimmer Switch retaining nut as well as the bolt before removing the Dimmer Switch rod from the Dimmer Switch unit to extract the Dimmer Switch itself. Installation of the Dimmer Switch must be done first followed by installation of the Dimmer Switch rod. The retaining nut and bolt securing the Dimmer Switch need installation before tightening them down to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Connect the electrical connector of the Dimmer Switch after reinstalling the Steering Column and enabling the sir system.
