A first step to replace the headlamp Dimmer Switch requires disabling the sir system. Disconnect the Steering Column followed by removing the Dimmer Switch electrical connection. First dismantle the Dimmer Switch retaining nut and bolt before disconnecting both the Dimmer Switch rod from its respective components of Dimmer Switch and switch. Begin the installation by first setting up the new Dimmer Switch and afterwards attaching the Dimmer Switch rod to its place. Screw the Dimmer Switch retaining nut and bolt to their respective places and tighten them to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Last, you should reconnect the Dimmer Switch electrical connector before putting back the Steering Column along with enabling the sir system.
