How to replace the door window channel on 2000 Cadillac Eldorado?

Begin your process by taking out the trim panel and afterward the water deflector followed by the sealing strip. After you remove the front upstop adjuster nut you can take out the front upstop and its bolt without harming the mirror seal. Move upward on the top section of the front run channel toward the mirror then turn it down and pull up from the bottom to remove it from the retainer. Secure the new front run channel into the door by placing it flat against the lower side while keeping it parallel to the bottom and moving the lower adjuster into position to the retainer to install. Fit the retainer bolt hole and fix the bolt securely at 11 N.m (97 lb in). Thread the upstop adjuster nut and fasten it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Smoothly coat GM P/N 99882386 or compatible lubricant onto the run channels only while keeping it away from window and belt line seals. Mount the window back in position while making necessary changes afterward to place both the sealing strip and water deflector before attaching the trim panel.
