    Begin your replacement task by taking out the trim panel with the water deflector, sealing strip, and window. First undo the front upstop adjuster nut and part then remove the bolt while being cautious not to harm the seal here. Turn the top of the front run channel away from the mirror and push it toward the bottom of the door until it detaches from the retainer. After that pull up the bottom end of the channel to get it out. To install place the front run channel parallel to the bottom of the door and insert it from the inside. Then position the lower adjuster into the retainer before pushing the top of the channel up. Set the retainer next to the bolt hole and fasten the bolt by tightening it to 11 N.m (97 lb in). Apply upstop adjuster first then place the nut and tighten it to 9 N.m (80 lb in) force. Put a small amount of GM P/N 99882386 or equal lubricant on the channels without using it on the door window or belt line sealing strips. Put the window in place and make needed adjustments before adding the sealing system components which include the sealing strip water deflector and trim panel.

Start by moving the front run channel top away from the mirror before rotating it toward the lower door section and using a single hand to lift the bottom for unfastening from the retainer before channel removal. To install the new front run channel keep it parallel to the door base then place the bottom adjuster into its retainer followed by raising the top section of the channel. Screw the bolt through its hole into the retainer and then secure it to 11 N.m (97 lb in). Secure the upstop adjuster followed by the nut by tightening it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Apply GM P/N 99882386 lubricant or equivalent using a thin layer on the run channels while preventing build-up and keeping the product away from the door window and belt line sealing strips. Add the window before performing necessary adjustments then follow with the sealing strip then water deflector along with the trim panel installation.
