  A: You must shut off the sir system and take out the steering wheel coil section before replacing the multifunction, turn signal, and hazard switch. Loosen the hazard knob bolt to unlock both parts from the steering column and gently extract the wave washer from the upper Steering Shaft. Put j23653-sir to the upper Steering Shaft and push down the shaft lock before taking out the bearing retainer and shaft lock. First disconnect the turn signal cancel cam assembly and both upper bearing spring along with tilt lever handle and turn signal lever. Unscrew the multiple types of screws one after another first the flat head tapping screw then round washer head screw and lastly the signal switch arm assembly.
