A: To change the condenser, first, employ a/c refrigerant recovery, recycling and recharging system (J 39500-B) to obtain the refrigerant from the system. Then, take out the upper filler panel, headlamp, and hood latch bracket. De-attach the discharge hose and evaporator hose assembly from the condenser and the unit should be removed by de-attaching the condenser mounting bolts. Gently extract the left and right sides of the condenser after removing it from the retainers and take off the condenser from the vehicle. For installation, use the electronic halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to make a proper lock. Start by placing the right side of the condenser into the retainer and then the left, then place the condenser in the vehicle. Mounting the condenser bolts and tightening into 13 n.m (10 lb ft). Then, connect evaporator hose assembly to the condenser, tightly screwing it with 20 n.m (15 lb ft), then the discharge hose, a force of 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Replace the hood latch bracket and headlamps, top-up the a/c system, test for any fluid leaks in the a/c system. Finally, fit the upper filler panel.
