2000 Chevrolet Camaro Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to properly maintain and fix the Clutch Slave Cylinder on 2000 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: Service and repair operations on Clutch Slave Cylinder begin by removing the manual transmission from the vehicle. Start by removing the bolts of the clutch actuator cylinder while also taking out the transmission bolts. Remove the flywheel/clutch housing from the transmission and set it apart before taking out both the flywheel/clutch housing and clutch actuator cylinder from the transmission . The installation process must start with installation of both the transmission clutch flywheel assembly along with the clutch actuator cylinder to the transmission housing. Read and follow the safety instructions provided in the fastener notice of service precautions. Use the transmission bolts to install and then torque each bolt to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) for the 5-speed transmission and 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) for the 6-speed transmission. Put the clutch actuator cylinder bolts into place before tightening them to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Put the manual transmission back into place on the vehicle.
