How to replace the front Motor and Transmission Mount on 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier?

To remove the front transmission mount, first inspect the mount by pulling up and down on the transaxle case while looking at the front lower transaxle mount. replace the mount if it separates from the metal case due to, or if the metal plate of the mount moves when it is attached. Tighten the bolts of the mount to 75 Nm (55ft. lbs.). Start the removal by removing the washer solvent container, then use a block of wood and a jack stand to hold the transaxle in position. Then, go ahead and remove the transaxle mount thru-bolt then take out the transaxle to engine block bolts and finally front transaxle mount. For installation, begin with installing the front transaxle mount, followed by tightening its bolts to 75 Nm (60 ft. lbs.), and then follow up with installing the front transaxle mount thru-bolt with its guide which should be tightened to a total of 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.). Lowering the vehicle and removing the jack stand after reinstalling the washer solvent container, the left front splash shield, and the left front tire and wheel assembly.
