You must securely position the vehicle when performing service and repair of the 4t40-e/4t45-e automatic transaxle transmission mount. Start by taking off the left front wheel as well as the tire assembly before you remove the left front splash shield. First install a jackstand alongside a block of wood under the transaxle and afterwards sever the expansion bolt connecting to the transmission mount along with all four transmission mount bolts allowing removal of the mount. Drill four bolts into the new mount bracket before positioning it correctly then tighten each bolt using a torque of 66 nm [41 ft. Lbs.]. After installing the mount expansion bolt tighten it to 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). You should put back the left splash shield and left tire and wheel assembly following the elimination of the jackstand and wood block before you lower the vehicle.
