2000 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on 2000 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: To service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer) start by turning OFF the ignition and raise the vehicle while making sure to follow vehicle lifting precautions. Drain the engine coolant and then let the vehicle down. Remove the harness connector from the ECT sensor. Make sure that you do not damage it because it will disrupt the fuel control system. Take off the ECT sensor and put sealer P/N 12346004 in its threads, or an equal. Attach the ECT sensor and tighten it to 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Return the ECT sensor harness connector, refuel the engine coolant, start the engine, and check for leaks, and perform the final check of the engine coolant level.
