To put the hood latch in position start by placing the cable end inside the catch then position the cable sheath grommet into the slotted hole of the latch. The hood latch should receive installation together with its attaching bolts while maintaining its position in the marked area. Once the hood latch bolts are tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in), you can proceed with reconnecting the cable sheath to the push-in retainer and reinstalling the plenum air inlet screen.
