During installation position the cable sheath grommet in the slotted hole of the latch while the cable end must enter the catch on the latch. Apply the latch in the marked space while maintaining compliance with Fastener Notice in Service Precautions before installing the bolts to fix the latch. Completion of the installation requires you to tighten the hood latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
