How to replace the rear side door handle on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?

The process to change the rear side door outside handle starts by taking off the rear door trim panel with the addition of removing the rear door water deflector. Before disposal of the rod-to-lock clip remove the clip from the outside handle rod. Use a tool to eliminate the three bolts securing the outside door handle while you also remove the handle bolt access plug and the outside door handle itself because it comes with its attached handle rod. The procedure requires the disconnection of the handle rod from the outside door handle piece. Install the new outside door handle together with handle rod onto the rear door by ensuring complete elimination of any free play that exists in the outside door handle. Insert the three securing bolts into their positions before tightness them to 10 Nm (89 lb in) and install the bolt access plug. Put on a new outside handle rod-to-lock clip to the door lock lever after placing the outside door handle rod into its proper clip position. Install the rear door water deflector after applying the clip cover to the outside door handle rod threads and finally replace the rear door trim panel.
