    A: Start Fuel Rail service by finding the eight-digit stamp on the left-hand rail that powers even cylinders 2, 4 and 6. A correct installation of fuel injector o-rings requires placing the black o-ring above the brown o-ring because they have different materials although they maintain equal dimensions. The necessary fuel passage protection requires you to seal the fittings and to plug all holes when performing any servicing tasks. The first step should involve easing pressure within the fuel system. Start by taking off the upper Intake Manifold before breaking connections on both engine fuel feed pipe and engine fuel return pipe which link to the Fuel Pressure Regulator. First detach the fuel feed pipe and fuel return pipe o-rings before disconnecting the main injector harness electrical connector and using the pull up method to detach the fuel injector connector from its outlet. Disconnect the electrical harness from the Fuel Rail then remove the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector before using a socket to remove the Fuel Rail retaining bolts. Remove injector o-ring seals from the spray tip end of each injector yet keep the o-ring back ups for later reuse. To install the Fuel Rail assembly actors must tilt it before adding the injectors before tightening the Fuel Rail attaching bolts to 10 n.m (7 lb ft). After reconnecting the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector you should install the injector electrical harness to the Fuel Rail and then connect the injector electrical connectors followed by pushing the slide lock into position. After connecting the main injector harness electrical connector you must install new o-rings on the fuel feed pipe and fuel return pipe before connecting the fuel feed pipe at the Fuel Rail using a torque of 17 n.m (13 lb ft). First connect the fuel return pipe at the Fuel Pressure Regulator followed by tightening the engine fuel return pipe nut to 17 n.m (13 lb ft). After that reinstall the upper Intake Manifold and connect the negative Battery Cable. Verify leaks by turning the ignition twice for two seconds each time followed by waiting ten seconds before the second on activation for leak assessment.
