How to replace the pushrod and valve rocker arm on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?

The tool requirement for valve Rocker Arm and push rod replacement is a torque angle meter (J36660-A). Start by taking off the valve rocker covers and maintain separate grouping of components which will be needed during reinstallation. Start by removing the Rocker Arm bolts and proceeding to the rocker arms while maintaining the Pushrod sequence for its proper placement. After that, remove the pushrods. After cleaning the ends of pushrods with gm p/n 1052356 or similar product reinstall them in their initial positions. The yellow-striped intake pushrods and green-striped exhaust pushrods have different lengths at 5 3/4 inches and 6 inches respectively so ensure the pushrods are correctly seated within the lifter. Next install the rocker arms before placing the bolts and applying torque to 14 nm (124 inch lbs.) and continuing with a 30-degree angle tightening through the torque angle meter (J36660-A). Reinstall the valve rocker covers as the last step.
