How to replace the A/C Switch control assembly on 2000 Chevrolet Malibu?

For replacing the control assembly, it is necessary to remove the accessory trim plate and then take the control assembly off from the instrument panel. Remove the vacuum hose harness connector, the vacuum harness two hose connector, blower motor switch electrical connector, and the rear defroster control electrical connector from the control assembly. For putting on; connect the vacuum hose harness connector and vacuum harness two hose connector attaching the latter to the tab. Next, connect the blower motor switch electrical connector and the rear defroster control electrical connector to the control assembly. Mount the control assembly on the instrument panel, and, with the control assembly retaining screws, tighten them at 2 N.m (18 lb in). Finally, replace the accessory trim plate.
