In order to repair and maintain the steering shaft, lift and prop the car. Take off the tire and wheel group, and then reach the bottom pinch bolt. Take it out, making sure that the front wheels are straight. Uncouple the intermediate steering shaft of the steering column, and then reconnect it and fix everything back in place.
