2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Washer Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the windshield washer reservoir on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: Begin with the services by removing the screw from the tube assembly and vehicle before taking off the washer solvent container tube and its seal. First pull out the washer solvent container by taking out the screws at its back plate and disconnecting power components from the Washer Pump. Unplug the washer solvent level sensor connector, unscrew two fasteners to separate the bracket from the solvent container, and then take out the sensor and seal as you also detach the Washer Pump and grommet. First attach the Washer Pump and its grommet then place the solvent level sensor and its seal. Affix the bracket on the washer solvent container using two screws which needs to be tightened at 7 newton meters (62 pound inches). Plug in the washer solvent level sensor electrical connector before putting the three screws to fix the washer solvent container onto the vehicle at 10 n.m torque. Put back electrical components and hose into the Washer Pump system then repair front fender panel before adding seal to the washer solvent container and placing tube onto its holder. After placing the tube into position close the vehicle with the screw and tighten it to 10 n.m (88 lb in).
