How to service the drive belt on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

In order to service the drive belt, unplug the negative battery cable. To loosen up the tension in the belt, rotate the belt tensioner clockwise and then loosen the accessory drive belt. Lift the car, take off the bottom engine splash shield and place in the new belt. Install splash shield and negative battery cable again.
