How to service the drive belt on Chevrolet Prizm?

Starting the Drive Belt service process requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. You should apply a wrench to the belt tensioner in order to turn it clockwise which loosens the Drive Belt before removing it. After supporting the vehicle with a jack, the right side lower engine splash shield needs to be extracted. Follow the correct route for the accessory Drive Belt placement onto drive pulleys before applying clockwise movement to the belt tensioner with a wrench and installing the Drive Belt while maintaining wrench tension. Install the right side lower engine splash shield when the belt tensioner is released and the belt has achieved correct installation. The last step requires reconnecting the negative Battery Cable while tightening its bolt to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.).
