Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module, pull the horn electrical connector, and remove the cruise control electrical connector if your car is so fitted. Turn and remove the steering wheel retaininq nut, and make matchmarks on the steering wheel and main shaft. Remove the steering wheel using steering wheel puller (J 1859-A) making sure that the bolts are not inserted over 13 mm (0.5 inch) into the steering wheel to avoid making contact with the srs coil assembly.
