How to remove and install the shift cable for the 4L60-E Automatic Transmission on 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe?

There are two halves of the shift cable that can be removed independently in the 4L60-E Automatic Transmission. Move the steering column shift lever to park, lift the car and unhook the shift cable. Fit a new E-clip, take off the steering column shroud and put the shift cable into place. Check the transmission to ensure that it is operating well.
