In order to service and repair the thermostat, drain out the coolant until the radiator is lower than the thermostats. Disassemble the bolts, cooling outlet, thermostat and the gasket when necessary. Wipe down the surfaces and fit the thermostat, gasket and the coolant outlet. Add the coolant back, switch on the engine and ensure there are no leaks.
