  A: You should disconnect the battery negative cable and drain fuel system pressure before servicing the Fuel Injector. Take the upper intake manifold assembly together with the fuel meter body assembly from the location before removing the injector assembly retainer and the injector retainer lock nuts . Use extra care while servicing the Fuel Injector because the complete assembly should remain unimmersed in any cleaning solution and you should prevent damaging the electrical connector terminals and fuel nozzle and injector filter. The removal of an injector can be accomplished by pulling downward on the poppet nozzle tube and inserting a special tip punch between the terminals. The Fuel Injector assembly should fit into the fuel meter body injector socket after which install the injector assembly retainer and injector retainer lock nuts and torque them to 3.0 n.m (27 lb in). Place back the fuel meter body assembly with the upper intake manifold assembly while securing the fuel filler cap followed by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
