To service and repair the Timing Chain, one can start by fitting the woodruff keys (crankshaft balancer) inside the crankshaft keyway; also, the keyway of the crankshaft sprocket must align with the woodruff key (crankshaft balancer). Mount the crankshaft sprocket using j 5590 installer (J 5590) and swung it until aligning the crankshaft sprocket alignment mark was at 12 o'clock position. Next, install the Camshaft sprocket and the Camshaft Timing Chain, making sure that the alignment mark of the Camshaft sprocket points to 6 o'clock. Do not tighten the Camshaft sprocket using a hammer so as not to dislodge expansion cup plug (Camshaft rear bearing hole) or cause camshaf damage. Turn the Camshaft until the alignment marks of Camshaft and crankshaft sprocket are correctly aligned, and install the Camshaft sprocket bolts and tighten them with 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Replace the keyway on the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring to the woodruff key (crankshaft balancer) in the crankshaft, with a crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring mounted on the crankshaft to become fully seated against the crankshaft sprocket. Lastly, use the j 5590 installer (J 5590) to install the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring onto the crankshaft by pressing till the ring is fully seated at the crankshaft sprocket.
