    A: The initial step to replace the Fuel Rail assembly is to locate the eight-digit identification number stamped on the left-hand rail because it provides service to cylinders 2, 4, and 6. The correct installation of fuel injector o-rings requires you to position the black one in the upper part while placing the brown one in the lower section because their materials differ though they have identical dimensions. You must cover the fittings along with the plugging of fuel system holes to keep contaminants out. The work starts with sailorueue the fuel system pressure and continue by removing the upper Intake Manifold together with the engine compartment fuel pipe retainer bolt. Use a procedure cutter to remove the engine fuel feed pipe at the Fuel Rail connection while removing the engine fuel return pipe at the Fuel Pressure Regulator except for the o-rings. Discard these o-rings. Perform this procedure by disconnecting the main injector harness electrical connector before elevated execution of the fuel injector connector lock release to depress the lock tab followed by fuel injection harness removal from the Fuel Rail. The technician disconnects the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector followed by Fuel Rail bolt removal and Fuel Rail extraction. Remove the o-ring seals present at the spray tip ends of all the injectors. To install the new Fuel Rail assembly require you to tip it for insert the injectors before securing with Fuel Rail attaching bolts at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector while installing the injector electrical harness onto the Fuel Rail and fastening the injector electrical connectors with the slide lock positioned correctly. The main injector harness electrical connector needs to be reattached while new o-rings must be put on fuel feed and return pipes before connecting the fuel feed pipe to the Fuel Rail with a torque of 17 n.m (13 lb ft). The installation process requires the fuel return pipe attachment to the Fuel Pressure Regulator with a torque of 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Next follow the procedure for attaching the engine compartment fuel pipe retainer bolt (25 N.m/18 lb ft) and the upper Intake Manifold. After connecting the negative Battery Cable inspect for fuel leaks by turning on the ignition for two seconds followed by a ten second period of being switched off before another ignition on check for any possible fuel leak indications.
