• Q: How to replace the front side door hinge on 2001 Buick LeSabre?

  A: Begin the process of front side Door Hinge replacement by opening the door before removing the door trim panel then the water deflector. Turn off the power to both door latch electrical connectors as well as disconnect the power window motor electrical connector. Pull the door wire harness out of the door by removing the door wiring harness retainers. Start the front side Door Hinge replacement by taking off both sets of fasteners from the body door check link and the intermediate hinge fasteners from the two hinges. Lift the door with help while maintaining marks of the hinge halves both on the body and the door for removal purposes. The door wire harness should be guided into the door opening and the door trim panel and water deflector must be installed. Place wiring hardware retainers through the door holes before wiring windows to the power motor and attaching latch electrical connections. Install the water deflector along with the door trim panel by making sure doors align correctly without the Door Striker because improper adjustment might damage the door latch and striker.
