Clean and inspect the valve lifters and guides before soaking the new valve lifters in prelube gm p/n 12345501 or a similar type and amount. Mount the valve lifter and the valve lifter guides and return the valve guide retainer to the assembly, but not without making sure the valve guide retainer bolts are torqued at 30nm or 22ft.lbs. Finally, replace the lower Intake Manifold and the gaskets then valve rocker arms, pushrods, and pedestals.
