  A: To replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal, start by removing the engine Flywheel and ensure there is a leak from the Crankshaft rear oil seal. Do not scratch the Crankshaft od surface or chamfer using a flat-bladed tool. To remove the Crankshaft rear oil seal, pry it out with a small flat-bladed tool. Insert it through the dust lip and work the handle towards the end of the Crankshaft as far as you can on a few sides until it's out. Check the id of the bore and repair or replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing if necessary, and check for any nicks or burrs on the Crankshaft surface that interface with the seal, repairing or replacing the Crankshaft as necessary. For installation, apply engine oil onto the inside and outside diameter of the new Crankshaft rear oil seal, and slide over the mandrel until it bottoms on the collar of the j 38196 rear Crankshaft seal installer (J 38196). Mount the j 38196 on to the Crankshaft manually or tighten the screws to 5 nm (54 inch lbs) before turning the t-handle of the j 38196 to force the seal into the bore until the collar is tight with the case while ensuring proper seating between the Crankshaft and the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Loosen the t-handle until it stops and prepare for installing a another new Crankshaft rear seal remove the screws attaching to it. Last, reinstall the engine Flywheel and check for a proper fluid level and leaks.
