• Q: How to service and repair the Ride Height Sensor on 2001 Buick Park Avenue?

  A: Lift the vehicle to service and repair Ride Height Sensor, first. Remove height sensor connector from the vehicle harness connector, then remove height sensor harness clip and connector removing it from the vehicle. Remove the link from the height sensor actuating arm and remove the two bolts, height sensor and its bracket from the vehicle. Next, remove the four nuts that will hold the bracket onto the height sensor separate. For installation, start with the attaching of bracket on the height sensor with the help of the four nuts while tightening them to 3 Nm (26 inch lbs). After that, put the height sensor with the bracket back into the vehicle by means of the two bolts, they must be tightened to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.). Reinstall the link (the height sensor actuating arm), height sensor harness clip and connector onto the vehicle, height sensor connector onto vehicle harness connector. Lower the car and set the height sensor to desired point.
