Start by removing the negative cable from your battery. Lift the battery negative cable off the frame rail closer to the underhood accessory wiring junction block while taking away its frame rail bolt. Support the vehicle while it's in elevated position. The removal of the front lower air deflector step comes next. The installation starts by removing the transaxle stud nut alongside the battery negative cable from the transaxle stud. First remove the battery cables from their radiator support retainers before removing the wiring harness conduit from the retainers followed by removing the battery negative cable from the conduit. Reinstall the wiring harness conduit after placing the battery negative cable inside it. After this installation step, secure the cable retainers back onto the radiator support. Secure the transaxle stud nut along with the battery negative cable onto the transaxle stud then torque the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Install the front lower air deflector then lower the vehicle while connecting the battery negative cable to the frame rail using an 8 N.m (71 lb in) torque setting. Proceed by connecting the battery negative cable to its destination.
