How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on 2001 Cadillac Catera?

Lift the vehicle and put supports under it for replacing the sensor. Take out the Bolt/Screw that secures the differential housing. Next extract the wheel speed sensor from this part. Unplug the wiring harness/wheel speed connector from its bottom fastener on the vehicle body. Disconnect the wheel speed connector from the wiring harness connection as you remove the wheel speed sensor from this area. Check the sensor surface for metal debris, dirt, grease, and contaminants while cleaning it and inspect if the sensor touches the toothing of the sensor ring. Replace the sensor when necessary for proper operation. By hand push the wheel speed sensor into place without using force and protect it from corrosion with silicone grease P/N 12345579 or an equivalent solution before reinstalling. Hand-push the wheel speed connector to its corresponding slot on the vehicle under-bottom and press the speed sensor into the differential housing place. Put on the speed sensor then fasten it to 8 Nm torque setting (71 inch lbs) then lower the vehicle and test the Abs diagnostic system.
