The first step in cup holder replacement requires removing the center console trim plate followed by opening the center console door. Start by removing the console door striker components numbered 1 and 2 together with the cup holder plate which belongs to the center console area. Proceed by taking out the 4 fasteners that connect the cup holder assembly to the center console. After that, extract the cup holder assembly out from its position. You should put the cup holder inside the center console then fasten it with four securing fasteners. The installation process includes resetting the cup holder trim plate while also installing the console door striker fasteners but requiring a possible adjustment of the console door striker. Test the operation of the cup holder along with the console door before you put back the center console trim plate.
