    A: A drain pan should be located underneath the vehicle before the Power Steering Pump flow control valve replacement operation begins. The power steering pressure hose must be unhooked from the Power Steering Pump before removing the Power Steering Pump fitting which was connected to the pump. First empty the power steering flow control valve out of the Power Steering Pump unit. The initial part of installation requires reinserting the power steering flow control valve into the Power Steering Pump but following the manufacturer guidelines found in service precautions regarding fasteners. Afterward attach the Power Steering Pump fitting onto the Power Steering Pump before torquing it to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Next join the power steering pressure hose to the Power Steering Pump before tightening it to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Complete the power steering system bleeding process then check for leakage in the system.
