  A: To replace the console without uv-8, first desist the sir and remove the parking brake. Take off the storage bins or cd changer if necessary then remove the console trim plate, the left and right console trim panels. Separate the shifter cable, and the park lock cable from the shifter and remove the cover on the floor of storage bin, then separate electrical connectors(1,2,3) from Center Console. Move both front seats to the rear to reach the front console to the floor fasteners, next take the 2 fasteners that are keeping the metal bracket arms to the floor, that's then the 2 nuts that are holding the console rear to the Floor Pan, and finally take the 2 fasteners that are holding the console to the lower instrument panel (IP). Do not allow the metal bracket to scratch the seats. Pull the rear of the console and pull it rearwards to take it out of the vehicle. For installation, place the console assembly on the floor, plug the electrical connectors, align the front of Center Console with the bottom of the ip and the rear on the rear studs. Mount the 2 fasteners from Center Console to lower ip and tighten to 2 n.m (18 lb in), then mount the 2 nuts to floor studs in the Center Console compartment and tighten to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Mount the fasteners to the metal bracket arms on the console, tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in), and connect the electric connectors (1,2,3) on the two sides of the console. Secure the cover to the bin the floor in the storage bin followed by the park lock cable and the Shift Cable to the shifter. Finally, install the left and the right console panels and the console trim plate and the storage bins or cd changer if so desired and enable the sir.
