How to replace the Cup Holder in the center console on 2001 Cadillac Seville?

Start by uninstalling the trim plate from the center console before cup holder replacement. Unfasten the console door striker assembly (1,2) by opening the center console door. Unfastening the cup holder trim plate from its position in the center console is followed by removing the four fasteners that secure the cup holder assembly . The cup holder assembly can then be removed. After positioning the cup holder inside the center console installing its fasteners will hold it securely. Repulse and fasten the cup holder trim plate to the center console. Also fasten the console door striker fasteners before adjusting the console door striker . Perform testing on the cup holder and console door operation after which the center console trim plate may be reinstalled.
