The initial step to replace the cup holder starts by removing the trim plate from the center console. Step one consists of opening the center console door while removing the console door striker assembly (1,2). You should detach the cup holder trim plate from the center console before extracting the four fasteners that secure the cup holder assembly. Move on to remove the cup holder assembly from the center console position. Insert the cup holder into the center console positioning after which use the 4 fasteners to fasten it in place. Reinstall the cup holder trim plate after which you can apply the console door striker fasteners. Insufficient adjustment of the card slot striker can affect the operation of the cup holder and console door. Therefore you must check the setup before returning the trim panel to its proper position.
