The process to remove the front upper tweeter speaker requires users to start by removing the assist handle followed by extracting the retaining screw from the trim plate before removing both the trim plate and the escutcheon from it. First swing down the plate and then use tweeter speaker rotation to reveal the mounting tabs before disconnection of the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector first and install the tweeter speaker to the trim plate by rotating until the mounting tabs secure. Validate component performance after which raise the trim plate while adding the escutcheon to it. The service procedures outline to use the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions to secure the retaining screw into the trim plate until it reaches a torque of 2 N.m (18 lb in). After this step, reinstall the assist handle back on the door.
