How to replace the front door window regulator on 2001 Chevrolet Astro?

As a first step to replace the front door Window Regulator you must remove the trim panel while taking out the inner panel upper bar then use a soft-faced scraper for the water deflector removal if needed. Place cloth-backed body tape over the top of the door from the window to the opposing side while rolled up before beginning Window Regulator removal. The power Window Regulator motor wiring harness needs to be separated from its connection. A 6mm (1/4in) drill bit should be used to remove the Window Regulator rivets heads before pushing the regulator into the door to untether power Window Regulator arms from the sash and regulator rail. Extract the folded regulator through the entry point of the access hole. To install the new regulator, push it through the access hole until the Window Regulator arm rollers insert properly into their respective mounting points. Then position the holes of the regulator to match the corresponding door holes. The secure mounting of the Window Regulator is possible through using the heavy duty rivet gun (M 39010) for inserting the rivets. If the gear has power functionality, attach its wiring harness and replace both the water deflector and inner panel upper bar. Proceed with pulling off tape from door and window while testing the window operation before placing the trim panel back in.
