  A: To remove the console, one should first remove the shift lever knob, then pry the console armrest door and remove the coin holder from the inside of the console. Unscrew the switch plate from the floor console and the separate the electric connectors from the switches if available. Then, take off the console trim plate bolts, and lift it up, then release the ashtray lamp and the cigarette lighter electrical connections disconnected almong removing the console trim plate. For installation then it should be done while positioning the trim plate over the shift lever, joining the cigarette lighter electrical connector and the ashtray lamp connector, and placing the forward end of the trim plate in the console. Apply pressure to snap the trim plate in to place, make sure the console trim plate bolts and. Tighten all bolts using 2 n.m (18 lb.in). If fitted, connect the wires in the electrical connectors into the switches, attatch the front floor console accessory trim plate, attatch the coin holder, close console armrest door, then fit the console accessory bin to the console if fitted, and fit the shift lever knob.
