Begin Starter motor replacement by taking off the negative Battery Cable. Start by disconnecting the Starter bolt from its wiring harness bracket nut then engage the vehicle lift. First disconnect the electrical connections from the Starter then eliminate the flywheel inspection shield. Start by taking out the Starter after removing its bolts. Begin with engine position followed by installing Starter bolts which need to be tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque value. Start by reconnecting electrical connections to the Starter and replacing the flywheel inspection shield before lowering the vehicle and finishing with the wiring harness bracket nut installation to the Starter bolt and finally reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
