How to replace the front door striker on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

To change the front door striker, fit the striker cover and screws and then remove the shims and striker. Place the new striker and shims over the lock pillar, loosely screw in, align, by closing the door, after which tighten the screws. Lastly, re-fit striker cover.
