  A: Start servicing and repairing the Turn Signal Switch by taking off both upper and lower Steering Column trim parts. First separate wire harness straps connecting them to the column tilt head and Steering Column. After that release the wire harness assembly from its strap. See the shaft of the multifunction Turn Signal Switch assembly and unscrew the 2 pan head tapping screws to eliminate the component. Install the multifunction Turn Signal Switch assembly correctly when its electrical contact touches the turn signal cancel cam. Place the 2 pan head tapping screws in place and tighten them to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Put the wire harness assembly through the Steering Column jacket then place it into the wire harness strap and join new straps to both Steering Column parts. Place back the upper and lower Steering Column trim covers at the end.
