Begin by removing the left engine splash shield before pulling out the connector position assurance from the connector lock tab. The user should depress the lock tab followed by unlocking the connector cover before taking off the ABS Control Module harness connector from ABS Control Module. Before removing four ABS Control Module to bpmv screws ensure no piece of equipment is used to pry apart the assembly as this may damage both bpmv surface and solenoid valves. Pull the ABS Control Module slowly away from the bpmv thus separating them. When installing the ABS Control Module to the bpmv surface first wipe both parts with an alcohol-cleaned rag. Then mount the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv. Screw four ABS Control Module screws to the bmpv components before tightening each screw to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.).
