How to replace the defroster Blend Door Actuator on 2001 Chevrolet Malibu?

Removing the IP carrier is the first step in replacing the defroster actuator. Separate the blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose from the defroster actuator, as well as recording its location. Then, pull actuator lock tab and slide off the actuator. Pull off the actuator linkage at the defroster door by squeezing the tabs on its door. For installation, secure the actuator linkage to the defroster door and slide the defroster actuator onto the mounting bracket until the tab locks. Reconnect the blue vacumm hose and the green vacumm hose to the defroster actuator and lastly, reinstall the IP carrier.
