How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2001 Chevrolet Malibu?

Before you can replace the blower motor resistor assembly, first, take off the right side instrument panel insulator. Come next, pull the electrical connector off the blower motor resistor assembly and unscrew the holding screws. After taking out the old resistor assembly, install the new one, but be sure to read the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the screws and tighten them to 1 N.m (9 lb in), and afterward reconnect the electrical connector. In the end, reinstall the right side instrument panel (IP) insulator.
